Rémy Martin XO & Louis XIII Cocktail

8 September 2011 No Comment

If you enjoy drinks as much as I do, you may like this new cocktail launched by Mayfair’s Claridges Bar that combines the flavours of Rémy Martin XO Excellence and Louis XIII Cognac. Denis Broci, the Bar Manager, is the man behind the creation. The cocktail is named “Fleur de Lis” and it’s Rémy Martin XO Excellence with dissolved sugar and a twist of citrus. It’s served in a chilled glass with a spray of century old Louis XIII cognac from a specially designed atomiser.

The nice thing about this cocktail is that you have the opportunity to taste Louis XIII, crafted from the finest grapes. Blended from more than 1200 eaux de vie and aged for up to 100 years, Louis XIII is usually available for £250 per glass at selected bars. The “Fleur de Lis” cocktail will be available until the end of the year for £30, so if you want to enjoy it, best you check it out unless you want to try it yourself of course.
