Spain is still Europe’s most popular place to stay, according to figures released February 28 by the European Union. In total, 268 million nights were spent in Spain’s hotels by travelers last year, a rise of 6.4 percent on 2009′s figures. The second most popular place to lay your head was Italy with 245 million nights spent in 2010, although this was a slight fall on 2009′s figures. Germany took third place, with 229 million nights, France fourth with 196 million and the United Kingdom fifth with 166 million.

Daft Punk has teamed up with Coca-Cola in the design of a new line of soda dubbed “Club Coke”. The new beverage is set to be released next month and will be available at dance clubs across Europe, as previous “Club Coke” lines have been.

A special collector’s package with both bottles will be available exclusively through the French boutique colette, according to online fashion magazine Hypebeast. There is no mention yet on whether the beverage will be distributed in other countries, including the United States.

So this past weekend was a scorcher out and well there were so many things happening. What I can say is there was no better place to be than the BMW International Polo Series at Val De Vie Estate for the South Africa vs India game. Last week marked the launch of the latest eye-wear from Oakley South Africa at the luxurious Crystal Towers Hotel and Spa in Cape Town. Lamborghini is set to unveil a flagship supercar at the Geneva Motor Show next month, according to reports from the US.
The top-end automaker, which makes some of the world’s most iconic performance cars, is planning to take the wraps off the Aventador at the show. It will be the brand’s most powerful production model ever, boasting a 700 hp V12 engine which can manage 0 – 100 km/h in 2.9 seconds, making it faster than its predecessor, the Murcielago.
