Porsche 911 GT2 RS. It’s %@$#!
If you’re talking about getting twisted and living the lifestyle then you cannot ignore the latest offering from Porsche. The Porsche GT2 RS.
The first thing that comes to mind with any super car is power… Before I get to that all I can say is this will be the most powerful Porsche ever. It’s filled with technology but while being in touch with the road and driver at the same time. Clarkson may not have loved the last GT2 but I can bet he will have something to say about this.
The 3.6litre boxer engine will be putting out a massive 462 kW and before you think of anything else, only 500 will be produced so place those orders now before its too late. The 0-100km/h time is 3.5seconds and you better believe with a time on the Nürburgring’s Nordschleife being 7m18s. 0-200km/h is around 9.8seconds with it topping out at 330 km/h.
The new 911 GT2 RS will weigh 1370kg and to keep all that power and weight on the road it’s dressed in Z rated 19″ Tires with anti-roll bars and Porsche Adaptive Suspension Management (PASM). The car is this light because of carbon fiber.
The car will be available from September 2010 and following in the US from October. The base price is just shy of €200K. For all those options you’ll be expected to fork out close to €240K. While some aren’t Porsche fans the GT2 RS is definitely making a statement and cannot be ignored. I cannot wait to have a drive. Personally I think the rear looks a bit like the legendary Carrera GT.
