Ferrari Unveils The 599 GTO

Ferrari finally have announced the Ferrari 599 GTO. This is their fastest road car ever based on the 599 GTB Fiorano.
The 599 GTO takes its name from the legendary 250 GTO made in the early 1960’s and the GTO stands for Gran Turismo Omologato.
The GTO is powered by a 6.0-liter V12 engine with 661 hp [493 kW / 670 PS] and 457 lb-ft [619 Nm] of torque. The result is a 0-100 time of 3.35 seconds and a top speed in excess of 335km/h [208mph].

To ensure all this power is kept on the road and stable, Ferrari have added revised bumpers, a new front splitter and an aggressive rear diffuser and side sills and intakes.
The vented hood is new as well, as are the ten-spoke, 20-inch alloy wheels with F1-style wheel donuts [a disc which channels hot air and drag away from the brake discs] aiding efficiency. With all these changes the Ferrari 599 GTO now generates 144 kg [317 lbs] of downforce at 120 mph [193 km/h].

The 599 GTO features thinner construction, carbon-ceramic brakes and a lightweight six-speed transmission which shifts in about 60 milliseconds. Only 599 models of the 599 GTO will be made, which is more than the Enzo.
As you can expect, all this comes are a premium and and the price is expected to be around $450000 so if this is what you’re looking for best you join the exclusive list of the other 598 people placing their orders.

I’ll personally take the Ferrari California or the Ferrari 458 Italia but that’s just me.

This is pretty sweet. Looks a hell of a lot better than the original 599. I thought that was such an ugly car. Ferrari designers are finally coming back to their senses in my opinion!
